son of James and Marion (Wells);married Esther Wood, 12/27/1832; children-John, Marion, Mary E. and Joseph C.

Old Liberty Church

born in Dumfries Scotland, migrated to America at the age of 20 years old;May 1833 moved to Liberty Twsp.; had eight children, but only four lived.

Marion Kirkpatrick Pennell Cunningham October 29, 1838 - September 25, 1925
daughter of Robert Kirkpatrick; married Joshua Pennell, (Sept. 26, 1860) had two children Joshua and Hannah (Shoemaker);(see also Pennell)

Joshua died November 6, 1882; remarried to James Monroe Cunningham, Mary 31, 1892.

son to Joseph and Alice; married Clara Ethel Taylor, children-Russell T., Leonard, Ethel Irene, and W. Jerome

Married Clara November 1, 1899; later divorced. Clara stayed in Powell to raise the children; Russell 16 years old was killed by the train tracks in Powell.

Leonard Kirkpatrick March 3, 1904 - February 19, 1960
son to William Herbert and Clara Ethel. Siblings Russell T., Ethel Irene (Close) and W. Jerome.
