If you enjoy eating chocolate in any of its forms, this program will be of interest to you. Gretchen Curtis, who has presented two prior programs for the Historical Society, will discuss the history of chocolate, where and how it is grown and harvested, its introduction as a treat for the wealthy and how it became more widely distributed for the enjoyment of people around the globe. Whether you eat chocolate every day or only occasionally, you will smile at the "chocolate wisdom" featured throughout this slide program. Gretchen will end by explaining how you can maximize the health benefits of chocolate and tips for conducting your own "taste testing" based on percentage of cocoa butter.
