Summary
Mark and Francine Butler told the story of how they conceived the idea of telling the story of Camp Delaware first as a play, and then as a film. Camp Delaware started at the intersection of South Sandusky St. and Olentangy Ave. in Delaware, and expanded in 1863 to the east side of the Olentangy River where African American soldiers were mustered into service. This included the 127th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, later renamed the 5th United States Colored Troops, and the 27th U.S. Colored Troops. The film is both entertaining and educational. The Butlers are to commended and congratulated for completing and promoting this project.
